Gambling Forum - Finding the Balance

A public forum titled 'Responsible Gambling, PLAY SAFE - Finding the Balance' was held on Tuesday the 10th of October at the Ballarat Town Hall. The forum was attended by approximately 40 people. Guest speakers ranged from representatives from Tattersalls and Tabcorp, Gamblers Help, the Ballarat Responsible Gambling Committee and a recovered gambler.

The forum was a great success as it gave the community the opportunity to ask questions and to participate in a very important discussion. Some of the questions posed were; what is aproblem gambler?, what is the councils position on the number of poker machines currently in Ballarat?, and how does someone access help if they feel they have a problem with gambling.
